The passing on Bertha I. H. Langille, wife of the late Ivan Thomas Langille, occurred unexpectedly on October 16, 2019 at her residence. Born at Salmon Beach, Gloucester Co., NB, she was the daughter of the late Palmer and Evelina (Robertson) Miller.
She is survived by her son Stew (Irene) of San Rafael, CA; her daughter-in-law Leslie Langille of Hammond River; her brother William 'Bill' Miller of Salmon Beach, NB; her grandchildren Drew, Sophie, Gabrielle and Amelia; her special cousin Shirley Irvine; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son Mark.
She and her husband owned and operated M&L Masonry for 40 years. She and Ivan were avid curlers and belonged to the Thistle St. Andrews and the Carleton Curling Clubs over the years. They spent their winter months at the Imperial Manor, Lakeland, Florida. She was an active member of the Grand Bay Baptist Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), on Sunday from 2-4pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 4, 2019 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Grand Bay Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
