Bernard Joseph Thibodeau

 It is with sadness the family announce the passing of Bernard Joseph Thibodeau of Saint John, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday June 11, 2018. Born in Bathurst in September of 1924, he was the son of the late Arthur and Annie (Levigne) Thibodeau. Bernard was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his daughter Jean Tighe; granddaughter Marlene (Alfred) and grandson Mark both of New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews; special niece Connie Snodgrass and long-time housekeeper Joan Hicks. Along with his parents, Bernard was predeceased by his loving wife Jean (Milbury) Thibodeau; stepson Charles Thibodeau and 4 brothers, 4 sisters and his long-time canine companion Scruffy.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Friday June 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Cemetery.  Funeral procession to leave Fundy Funeral Home at 9:55 a.m. Donations in Bernard’s memory can be made to the SPCA or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
