Dear Fr Ken, and Family.. I spoke with my cousin Jane (Walsh) McPherson tonight and she told me about your Mothers passing. I remember her well from growing up just a few houses away on St James Street. She was such a nice lady, kind and always greeted us. She is at peace now and will always be with you.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Some say this Reading is only for weddings but it is about love and Barb certainly loved you just as you loved her and indeed will forever. Tonight I will say the Rosary in her memory and for her family.

Looking at her picture and that wonderful smile reminds me of the time she welcomed us to her home for a barbecue for our young patients, and the laughs we had the day I took she and my mum to Calais for the day and were stopped and the car searched on the way back. Our one big purchase was a bottle of Tylenol!

"Whether I am in the hospital, a nursing home or at home when I am called to go back to God, I hope a priest will be with me." Her Pastor Fr. Osborne was with her as the group left Stella Maris parish after a session on the "New Evangelization." to go
across the street for coffee at Tim Horton's. Lorna was the only one struck by the car.I am thrilled that Lorna got her wish. And while closely connected to her, I have no tears... only a smile... the kind that goes from ear to ear. Oh, Lorna...keep on having the time of your "new "life. Mary

Ken, Allan, David and family, I hope you know how much we all loved your Mum. She was so good to all of us and Mum. Even when she would say "i'll get the wooden spoon" I don't think any of us saw that spoon, in all the years she helped look after us. I am glad I got to speak with her awhile back. She sounded exactly the same.

Are we not truly blessed with the hope our Creator has given us of seeing our loved ones again. Although I only met Mrs. Weir a half dozen times, I spoke to her numerous times on the phone. She was the "gatekeeper" on the phone, and you had to go through her before she would allow you to speak to Fr. Weir, always wanting to make sure he had time to rest. I always enjoyed our quick little chats. To Allan, David and Fr Weir - please know you and all your families are in my prayers. Cherish the memories, celebrate your Mom's life and carry her wisdom in your hearts for the years to come.
