Barbara Alice (Carabin) Hiscott

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Barbara Alice (Carabin) Hiscott on October 4, 2017 with her loving family at her side.  She was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on July 15, 1947 to George and the late Alice Carabin.

Barbara was a very loving and faithful woman.  She mentored others to bring to them the teachings of the Lord and helped them to understand his message.  She was always there to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  Barbara had a very sharp wit which always kept everyone laughing.  She loved the beach and loved to be by the ocean but above all else, she loved her family, and was their rock.

She is fondly remembered by her sons; Corey and Noel, her brothers; Ross (Linda) and George, sisters; Debra (Reid) Conrad and Patricia (David) Wrathall, father George Carabin Sr., as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Along with her mother, she was predeceased by an infant son, Cody.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, all services are being held privately within the family.  For those who wish, memorial donations made in Barbara’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, SJRH Palliative Care Unit or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
