Arthur "Art" Leonard

Arthur Joseph Leonard “Art” passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 8th, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born March 16th, 1932 in Saint John, NB to William and Helen (Long) Leonard. Survived by four daughters; Diane Trecartin (Mark) of Saint John, NB, Gina Healy (Mark) of Halifax, NS,  Rose Leonard (Alana Brownlee) of Rockport, NB,  Luanne Leonard (Glenn Scott) of Summerville, NB; three sons; John (Beth) of Lorneville, NB,  William (Andrea) of Edmonton, AB,  and Charles (Cheri Spicer) of Welsford, NB ; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Art was predeceased by his parents, his sister Irene (Vincent) Boudreau and Anita, his beloved wife of 62 years.

A special thank you to Dr. Daniel Scott for his excellent care and good humour for over 30 years, also Nurse Debby whose laughter and TLC was always appreciated.

Thank you to Dr. Wildish for the compassionate and professional manner in which she helped the family through this difficult time.

He will be sadly missed by all of us but is in the arms of Mom.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  There will be no visitation or services as per Art’s wishes. Donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of one’s choice.
