Antoon C. Dassen

With sadness, we announce the passing of a good friend, Mr. Antoon(Toni) Dassen on September 29, 2016. He was born in Heerlen, Holland on 19 January 1927.

Toni came to Canada in 1956 settling in Toronto where he met and married a New Brunswick lady in the person of the late Yvonne Lanteigne. They later moved to Saint John in 1988 .

He was the son of his deceased parents, Joseph Dassen and Philomene Lodder from Heerlen.

His brothers and sisters were Andre(Nellie), Inecka(Michael), Els Rinehart, Mia Kerston, Annia. He was predeceased by  Leo(Christine) , Paul (Annie) and Hubert.

He had some nieces and nephews in New Brunswick and abroad.

He will be missed by his good friend Théo Gagnon and family and his family and friends.

We wish to thank The Saint Joseph Hospital and the Rocmaura Nursing Home in Saint John, NB for the excellent care that they provided.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John( 646-2424 ), visiting on Monday, October 3rd 2016 from 2 to 8PM.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Toni's life will be held  on Tuesday, October 4th 2016 at  2:00 PM from St. Ann's Church.
For those who wish, remembrances to Rocmaura Nursing Home or Bobby's Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
