It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Angela Mary (Fitzgerald) MacNeill which occurred at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing on Sunday, December 16th, 2018. Born 1923, in Coachman’s Cove, NL, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Winnifred (Traverse) Fitzgerald. During World War II, Angela served in the Royal Canadian Air Force, women’s division. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary and the C.W.L. Angela enjoyed spending time with the Wednesday Card Club and the Silver Links Seniors Club. She was employed with Fundy Linen Ltd. for several years and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Angela is survived by her son Gary MacNeill (Debbie) of Saint John; daughters Marilyn Harris of Cambridge Narrows, Deborah Cooke of Saint John; sister Agatha Ivey of St. John’s, NL; daughter-in-law Cathy MacNeill of Campobello; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; special friend Clyde Shepherd; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Angela was predeceased by her husband Joseph Daniel, son Kevin, brothers John, Bernard, Lawrence and Patrick Fitzgerald, sisters Margaret Fowler and Catherine Philpott and sons-in-law Mac Harris and Barry Cooke.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (4347 Loch Lomond Road) on Wednesday, December 19th at 12:00 noon, followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
