Alvin C. (Nickerson) Atkinson

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Alvin Chester (Nickerson) Atkinson which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 26th, 2017.  Born 1949, in Swim’s Point, NS, he was the son of the late Rosemond (Atkinson) Nickerson.  Alvin worked for Willett Foods for several years.  He loved to watch wrestling and movies.

Alvin is survived by his brothers Blantford Nickerson of Saint John, Kevin Nickerson (Colleen) of Saint John, Terry Nickerson of Greenwich, Bobby Nickerson (Melissa) of Nerepis; sister Denene Nickerson (Blair) of Saint John; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Alvin’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private family interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarks Harbour at a later date.  Donations in memory of Alvin may be made to The Joshua Group or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
