It is with tremendous grief that we announce the passing of Allen Francis McLeod, also known as Happy, which occurred on Thursday, November 7, 2019. He was born on March 8, 1960, in Saint John, NB and was raised by the late Gorham and Millie Parlee.
A proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1386, Allen enjoyed his time working with them as an Organizer. Allen was a compassionate man who would do anything for anyone, he was always there to make sure that anyone having struggles were able to get back up on their own feet. Extremely devoted to his family, Allen cherished the times spent with his grandchildren and always looked forward to reunions with his family and friends. Even at the end of his illness, he never saw the negatives, Allen was always fighting in order to be there for his family.
Allen is survived by his cherished wife, soulmate and best friend of 32 years, Pamela and their children; Deke McLeod (AJ Cormier), Crystal (Will) Mortimer and Tricia McLeod. As well as his siblings; Ronda Stevens, Tammy (Ralph) Balemans, Shirlena Dubois, Shelley (Michael) DeSilva and Tonetta Gallagher, grandchildren; Mya, Will, Kirk, Wyatt, Allen and Warren along with plenty of nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Ronald Wooden and brother in-law Leonard Stevens.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, November 10, 2019 between the hours of 2-8pm. Celebration of Allen’s life will take place on Monday, November 11th at 2:00PM.
