Alida MacLean

It is with appreciation for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mary Alida (Breau) MacLean, loving wife of the late Albert MacLean, which occurred at the Loch Lomond Village on Sunday, July 22nd 2018.  Born January 27, 1919 she was the daughter of Alyre and Elise Breau.

Alida was employed as a seamstress at the Provincial Hospital for 20 years. She will be greatly missed by her cherished children; Don MacLean (Marion), Jean Washburn, Elva Elward and Anne Smith (Ted), brother in-law Leslie.  Alida will also be remembered by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband Albert, Alida is predeceased by her infant brothers; Osias and Joseph, brothers Gerald Breau, Leonide Breau (Andrea), sisters Aldea Richard (Edgar) and Orilla Mazerolle,son in-laws Chuck Elward and Larry Washburn.

Our family would like to say thank you to the staff and volunteers of the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home for their loving care and compassion shown towards Alida throughout her stay.

Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Thursday, July 26th, 2018 at 11AM- 1PM with Celebration of Alida’s life immediately to follow in the Chapel with Father Peter Osborne presiding. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
