It is with heavy hearts yet appreciation for a life well lived, that the family of Alan “Buzz” George Robinson announces his peaceful passing which occurred on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1946 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Shirley (McBrady) and Clarence Robinson.
Alan worked at Baxter’s Dairy for 30 years and later in life joined the Corp of Commissionaires. He will be remembered as being a devoted, loving, kind and generous person. Alan always cherished the times spent with his family at his son’s camp “Camp David”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gail (Arsenault) Robinson and their children; Scott (Kelly) and David (Debbie) all of Saint John. Alan will be forever missed by his special and cherished grandchildren; Ryan and Gregory. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Phinney of Saint John and step sisters; Karen Kornick and Rena Knoph of British Columbia.
In addition to his parents, Alan is predeceased by his infant daughter Tammy, his aunt and uncle Dorothy and Leonard Thomas, step father Rene Goguen, in-laws Gerald and Geraldine Arsenault and brother-in-law Gordon Phinney.
On behalf of our family, we would like to say thank you to Dr. Sasha Sealy, Dr. Ashley Wood, Linda Campbell of Extra Mural, Staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and sister in-law Dorothy Arsenault for always being there for our family in our time of need.
In a special way we would like to thank Donnie Coes, Alan’s long time best friend for taking him out on Saturday afternoons.
Arrangements entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Tuesday, March 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service celebrating Alan’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 14th at 2:30 PM from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorial Donations in memory of Alan can be placed towards the Diabetes Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the N.B. Lung Association.
