Adeline M. Johnson

On Wednesday, July 16, 2014, Adeline M. (Godin) Johnson passed away peacefully at the Church of St. John and Saint Stephen Nursing Home.  Born in 1922 in Tracadie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jacques and Helene (Basque) Godin and wife of the late Edward Johnson.

Adeline was known for her kind heart and caring personality.  She may not have had any children of her own, but she was a mother and grandmother to everyone she met.  Working at the DVA and a school for boys in Connecticut allowed her to foster this caring personality when away.  She will be missed, not only by her family but by her friends and those she attended church with at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and previously Saint John the Baptist.  

Adeline is survived by her brothers Edgar (Bertha) of Neguac NB, George, and Donat (Evelyn) both of Montreal, QC ; sisters Theresa (George) Collrin, and Evelyn (Coby) MacDonald both of Saint John She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Adeline was also predeceased by her brothers Isaac and Napoleon Godin, and her sister Irene Saunier.  

Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Although there will be no visitation, a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
