A. June Fowler Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of June Fowler announces her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, July 2nd, 2018. June was born in Pennfield on February 11, 1936; a daughter of the late Ethel (Corscadden) and Adelbert Trynor. June graduated in the class of ‘54 from the Saint John Vocational School. She began her career as a secretary at the Black Watch Military Base in Gagetown and from there she moved to the Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock in the Purchasing department. In the mid 70’s she worked as a secretary in the Engineering Department at Rothesay Pulp and Paper/Irving Paper, from which she retired in 1993.

While employed with Irving Paper she was heavily involved with organizing activities for the Recreation Association. Following retirement, June carried on with her organizational skills that’s she obtained while being a secretary. She was heavily involved with the Vocational School Alumni and the Lioness. June was an exceptional knitter and her cross stitch pictures were exact. She loved gardening, dancing, driving and cooking. Even after retiring, June organized many social trips for “the girls”.

June is survived by her daughters Debbie Lindsay (Bruce), Sandy Spear (the late Brad), son Donald Fowler (Nicole), grandchildren Sarah, Bethany, Rachel, Andrew, and Nicole; great-grandchildren Evi, William, and Amelia, sisters Sharon McAllister and Elva Waycott, brother Jimmy Trynor, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents, June was pre-deceased by her daughter Leisa, and her brother, Vance.
