Shelly Lorraine (Watson) Gallant

With the greatest of sorrow the family of Shelly Lorraine Gallant (Watson) announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022.

Born in Saint John, NB on June 13, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Elizabeth Watson (Lloyd) and Arthur Royden Watson Sr.

Saint John has always been home for Shelly, and it is where she began her life with the love of her life, husband Jeffrey William Gallant. She was fiercely loyal to and proud of her children; Keith William Gallant (Sarah), Tamara Jessica Lynn Watson and her one and only fur baby Buddy Gallant.

In addition to her heartbroken husband and children, Shelly is survived by her brothers Arthur (Arty) Royden Watson Jr and Robert (Robbie) Frank Watson; childhood friend Christina Gunn and good friends Ann, Kim and Angie; as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Despite Shelly’s long battle with rheumatoid arthritis and other illness, she embraced life with joy, love, and gratitude. Regardless of what job she had at the time, Shelly was most happy taking care of those around her, especially her husband Jeff. It was because of her pure passion for nurturing others that her motherlike nature extended to many others outside of her immediate children. Her door was always open for those looking for unconditional support.

Shelly enjoyed spending her moments with those that she loved. At her request, there will be no viewing or service. A private celebration of life will be held in her honour on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at family residence, 34 Villa Dr., Hampton NB from 1:00 - 4:00 PM for family and close friends.
