Michael Lawrence Little

It is with heavy hearts the family of Michael Lawrence Little announces his passing on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Woodstock, NB, on December 11, 1964, he was a son of Lawrence Little and the late Carol (Christie) Little.

Michael was a true family man. His family was his pride and joy. He was married to his loving wife, Laurie Little, for 37 years. He was a real-life superhero to his sons. Throughout his battle with cancer, he remained a true warrior. His soon-to-be grand son, Michael David Little, was named in his honour. His never-wavering faith was important to him, and he was an active member of Kings Church. Michael and his family appreciate all of the love and support he received from his Kings Church family.

Michael loved his job, was a respected employee, for Garda World for 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. He also really enjoyed cooking and hockey, especially his favourite team, the Montreal Canadiens.

Michael is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Laurie Little; sons Dustin (Susannah) and Adrian; father Lawrence Little; brother Stephen (Kelly); sisters Shelley Little, Cheryl Omvlee (Roland), and Stephanie Laviolette (Daryl); grand baby Michael David Little, coming in July, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Carol Little.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Oncology and Palliative care, as well as Dr. Michael and Dr. Love, at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their kindness and care to Michael during his time there.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Michael’s memory would be appreciated.
