Kimberly Richardson Obituary

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Kimberly Joyce (Dykeman) Richardson, announce her passing on March 22, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 20, 1963, in Halifax, NS, Kim now rests in the arms of her Saviour.

Loving wife of 34 years to Kevin Richardson. Caring sister to Andrew (Kimberly) Dykeman, brother-in-law Aubrey (Cathy) Gaudet, and sister-in-law Kelly McLellan. Adored aunt to Jonathan (Angie) Gaudet, Brittainy (Christian) Clark, Alexander Dykeman (Sam), Nicholas Gaudet, Abigail Dykeman (Tony), Nathaniel (Roebi) McLellan, Isaac McLellan (Erin), and Ethan (Whitney) McLellan. Beloved great-aunt to Grace, Henry, Olive, Kevin, Alfred, and Ruth.

Predeceased by her parents Gilbert and Inga Dykeman, brother Christian Dykeman, sister Karen Gaudet, and brother-in-law Kerry McLellan.

Graduating from Simonds High School in 1981 and then attending Modern Business College, Kim eventually became the bookkeeper of Renforth Construction Ltd., a company she co-owned with her husband. An expert at her craft, Kim’s attention to detail shone through with her books always balanced to the penny.

Welcoming friends and family into her home, Kim warmly shared her love with meaningful conversations, delicious meals, a good laugh, and a warm smile. She was the trusted sounding board of many and a source of advice like no other. Kim cherished her times at Martin Head where she enjoyed friendship, fellowship, and making memories. Spending time with her soulmate Kevin was her ultimate adventure, whether on the road or at home, as long as they were together, she was happy. Kim will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.

Kim’s love of nature was only surpassed by her devotion to the Lord and those she loved. Her love for beautiful summer flower baskets and gardens, bird feeders, cardinals, her dogs and cats, and all animals was a reflection of her loving character.

A member of Christian Fellowship Church, she loved the Lord with all her heart. Gathering together with her fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, she enjoyed fellowship over the years and the sharing of her deep faith. Hearing Kim play the piano and sing hymns was always a complete blessing to all.

Kim’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and doctors of the ICU and 4CN at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and attention over the past four months.
