Brian Vautour

It is with broken hearts that the family of Brian Vautour, beloved partner of Jeannette McLaughlin, announces his passing on April 12, 2024. Born in Saint John, NB, on September 9, 1960, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Anne (Gallant) Vautour.

Brian worked in maintenance for several years with JD Irving. Outside of work, he dedicated much of his time to the Simonds Lion’s Club, having served as past president and participating in many community initiatives. He also loved collecting Lion’s Club pins, a hobby he shared with his brother Lionel, often mixing, matching, and trading pins in their collections.

Besides the love of his life, Jeannette, Brian is survived by his sons: Bradley Vautour (Christa) and Jeffrey Vautour (Mary); step-daughters: Robin Arsenault (Pete) and Stephanie Cameron (Jacob); grandchildren: Alyssa, Cohen, Aubree, Kaisen, Olivia, Brooke-lynn, Aiden, Ethan, Seth, Dean, and Astrid; brothers: Lionel Vautour (Jane) and Darrell Vautour (Sandra); sister: Paula Baker; special sister-in-law: Kathy Vautour as well as several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his special friends: Bill Joudrey, Louis Chouinard, Michelle Smith, and Bob Chambers and Mike Nesbitt. Brian was predeceased by his brothers Kevin and Wilfred Vautour.

Heartfelt thanks to my work family who have been my rock through all this. Especially Wayne Long & Kevin Collins always making sure I was ok. Jim Hennessy, Maghnus Ryan, Ashley Lloyd and David Hickey, thanks is not enough. I appreciate every one of you❤️. Thank you also to his special cousins Victor Sweet, Debbie Sweet Owens and Tina Sweet Ince who he stayed in close contact with and loved them dearly.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB. Cremation has taken place, and Brian will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Close family and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 12 noon. For those who wish, donations in memory of Brian can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
