It is with sadness the family of Bill Mullett of Rothesay, announce his passing which occurred at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday February 8, 2018. Born in Saint John April 26, 1935 to the late Robert James and Florence Elizabeth (Wilson) Mullett. Bill was a skilled diesel mechanic and worked for Nissan, the Government Garage and retired from Marr’s in 1989.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. A life member of the Fairvale Outing Association Community Centre and the Black Powder Association Club. He was known as a real tease. A loving husband, father, gramp, uncle and friend. Bill is loved and will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years Alice (Rushton) Mullett of Rothesay; sons Jim (Janyce) of Hampton and Malcolm (Michelle) of Ratters’ Corner; daughters Christine London (Terry) of Bloomfield, Dawn Wright (Sterling) of Cornwall, PEI, Suzanne Watters (Carl) of Miramichi and Hope Huggard (Stephen) of Norton; brother Robert (Betty); sisters Ethel Clark (Ron) of Scarborough, ON and Lois MacDonald (Bob) of Quispamsis; precious grandchildren Teresa, James, Kirsten, William, Katelyn, Alicia, Ryan, Chrissy and Justin; three great-grandchildren Kieran, Hailey and Chase; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; close sister-in-law Aggie Arbeau (Joey) of Kingston; many friends and feline friend “Crush”.Along with his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Stella and her husband Murray Wongkee .
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) By Bill’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory can be made to the Lung Association.
