William "Bill" Burk

William Everett Burk went to be with his Lord on September 22, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on October 6, 1932, he was a lifelong resident of Saint John.  He worked for NB Telephone for 42 years.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Isabel, children; Dr. Greg Burk (Carol) of Halifax, NS, Dr. Keith Burk of Waterloo, ON and Dr. Jane Burk-Vassallo (Frank)  of St. Catharines, ON, grandchildren; Alex, Jillian, Matthew and Rachel Burk, and Evan, Adam and Reid Vassallo.

His commitment to his Lord and the church was always forefront in his life, serving in many different capacities. 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  He was currently a member of Grace Valley Church (185 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB) from which the funeral will be held on Sunday, September 25, at 2:30pm.  A private interment will follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinitarian Bible Society, Grace Valley Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.  William’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.  To sign the guestbook or place an online condolence, please visit www.fundyfuneralhome.com
