Virgilio "Ver" C. Gonzalez

Dr. Virgilio “Ver” C. Gonzalez passed away, surrounded by his loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday September 13, 2017. Born in The Philippines on December 8, 1939; he was the son of the late Julian and Elisa (Castillo) Gonzalez. Virgilio was the devoted husband of the late Dr. Felicitas Gonzalez who passed away November of 2014. They would have been married for 50 years this past June.

Virgilio is survived by his daughter Doreen Maria (Brett) and son Dennis Paul (Karen); two precious granddaughters Payton Elise and Maya Chase; sisters Carmelita Tarroza and Edelmira Gonzalez both of Toronto; canine grandchildren Jessie and Petey; nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents and his loving wife, Virgilio was predeceased by his brother-in-law Reynaldo Tarroza.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday September 16th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Sunday September 17th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 18th from St. Ann’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
