My name is Kevin Nickerson and I was a foster child in the Parker household.
Mr. Victor Parker was a quiet man, and I realize that there was a great deal I did not
know about him. He loved music and always had a balanced point of view on any subject that was up for discussion. He was not only my foster father, but the custodian at the Junior High I attended at Hampton during the disastrous attempts to try and reintegrate me with my biological family. After so many nights of horror, it was always good to see him at the school in the morning. We never said much, but I always felt he was looking out for me. It meant more to me than he could ever know.
Mr. Parker , and his wife Eileen, taught me an awful lot about hard work and helping out when you can, how you can. I could never thank him or his family enough for everything they did for me.
