Vera May (Donaldson) Latimer

After a life well lived, Vera May Latimer passed away peacefully at Rocmaura Nursing Home on the morning of Sunday, March 18th, 2018, surrounded by her family. Vera was born in Burton, Ontario on September 9th, 1931; a daughter of the late John and Muriel (Fillmore) Donaldson, and the loving wife of the late Louis Latimer. Vera was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Vera will live on through her children; Daryl (Patsy), David (Shirley), Sam (Tracy), and Mark (Joanne), brothers Ronnie (Helen), Billy (Jean) and Jimmy (Louise); sisters Helen Agnew (the late Henry), Jean Lawson (the late James), Margaret McCumber (Dave), Barbara Wright, and Lorraine Abbott (Gary), as well as sisters-in-law Betty Donaldson, Doris Donaldson, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Vera was pre-deceased by her son James, brothers John and Bobby, and grandson Matthew Chiasson. 

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22nd at 10:00 am, from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Luke’s Cemetery in the spring.
