Uncle Tommy - I will greatly miss your constant smile, your contagious laugh and your gentleness!! As the last surviving member of Dad's family, I hope you are all together and reunited with Grammy and Gramby Gillen. I am sure you are already entertaining them and making everyone laugh!!

Unfortunately, I was away for your send-off so I will say goodbye now and hope to see you again some day....xo!!

The world is a sadder place without the warm Irish spirit and humor of Uncle Tommy, Although I have not seen Tommy often since I moved away from Saint John, past times spent with him will always be one of my fondest memories.

Memories of those warm summer days on McCormick’s Island or Tommy bursting through the front door of our house on Cedar Street dressed as Santa and New Years Day suppers at the house on Adelaide Street will we watched the Rose Bowl Parade and the football games. These are stories I now tell my children and grandchildren to give them a sense of our family history.

Thoughts of Uncle Tommy just make me smile and his Wild Irish sense of humor and warmth will keep his memory alive forever. He will be sadly missed!

Soar high in the sky, remind us that you're always going to be here with us, even though you're not here you'll always be in my heart.
I had the pleasure of having you in my life as my grandfather and a person who was always there for me. I will always have great memories of you and me❤️❤️❤️

Today I stumbled upon this while reading the newspaper and and deeply saddened. Tommy was my grandfather for most of my life and in that 32 years he did his best to keep the magic alive, whether he was dressing up as santa and delivering my favourite purple popple, walking around in his bathrobe clucking like a chicken and laying chocolate eater eggs or strapping on an elephant nose to take you trick or treating. I will miss his big sloppy wet kisses and watching John Wayne movies on Sunday afternoons. I hope he finally gets some peace and quiet because after going from professional bachelor or having a wife with6 kids and 5 grandkids he sure never got any. 🙄

33 years ago you came into my life and I will miss you. I am glad I bumped into you when I was home. May you fly with my other angels Tommy Gillan.

Tom was the true definition of a Gentleman and in addition a good man. Always a smile and a happy thought or word whenever we met. He will truly be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing "The Big Guy"
To his family I express my deepest sympathies.
