Shirley Elizabeth (McKay) Morehouse

It is with heavy hearts the family of Shirley Elizabeth Morehouse, loving wife of Scott Morehouse passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on October 23, 1964 she was the daughter of Barbara May (Burke) MacKenzie and the late Charles Robert McKay.  Besides her father she was predeceased by her sister Charlene McKay.

In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her children Richard Dempster, Amanda Dempster, Shannon Dempster and Sarah Dempster; sisters Cindy Cormier (Lonnie), Karen Walker (Donnie) and Beverley MacKenzie (Patrick); nine grandchildren; father and mother-in-law Wayne and Elsie Morehouse; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. Remembrances in memory of Shirley may be made to the Palliative Care Unit SJRH or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
