Romeo Joseph Anthony Roy

Surrounded by his loving family, Romeo J. A. Roy, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Bobby`s Hospice. Born July 26, 1952 in Saint John he is the son of Nina (MacLenaghan) Roy and the late Roger Roy. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his daughter Angie Roy and brother David Roy.

Romeo worked as an Insulator for local 131. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

He will be missed by his son James Roy (Jennifer); daughters Michelle Roy, Tina Roy, Terra Roy, Angelina Roy and Alyshia Gavin; brother Ivan Roy (Patricia); sisters Sandra Chamberlain (Wally), Rosemary Lights (Calvin) and Judith Beck (Gordon); special friend Wendy Gavin; nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday, November 23 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, November 24 at 12:10 p.m. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Romeo may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Cathedral Restoration Fund, Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor`s choice.
