It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to an amazing husband and father, Roger Joseph Bordage, on July 12, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice after a brave fight with cancer. He was born on June 4, 1963 in Saint John to Emile and Thérèse (Vautour) Bordage and was the loving husband for 30 years to his adored wife Crystal (Archer) Bordage.
Roger was a man who was so full of life. He always had a smile for everyone he met, loved making people laugh, and was a friend to too many to count. Roger worked as a Software Support Specialist with Xerox, an indoor career for sure, although he loved the outdoors. He loved to go hunting with his buddies, camping at Pleasant Lake Campground, kayaking, snowmobiling, as well as going out on his ATV. He was the treasurer and active supporter of the Grand Bay-Westfield ATV Riders (of which he was very proud) and was a big fan of Nascar racing. Roger was always willing to help others and take time out of his day to make sure everyone was taken care of. He was a family man at heart, always encouraging and teaching his children. He was always supporting and let his family know how much he loved them. He loved spending time with his wife and children and making everything fun for them. Taken much too soon, his family will miss this wonderful man and all he brought to their lives. Gratefully, they can hold those memories in their hearts.
In addition to his wife Crystal and his parents, Roger is survived by his children, Eric (Jocelyn) and Katrina (Owen), his brother Ronald; his sister Janice Martin; brother-in-law Ronnie Martin; brother-in-law Robbie Archer (Sharon), sisters-in-law Rose Lewis (Roger) and Tammy Hole (Trevor) as well as his nieces and nephews; Janelle Martin, Gabriel Martin, Jackie Rayner and Greg Kinghorne and many, many, many, many friends.
Along with his parents in-law, Roger was predeceased by his sister Annette Bordage.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A memorial service will be held at the River Valley Wesleyan Church, 45 Ridge Way, Grand Bay-Westfield on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Roger can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice. To sign the guestbook or to send a message of condolence please visit www.fundyfuneralhome.com
