Robert "Bob" Wayne Cleary

It is with tremendous sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Robert “Bob” Wayne Cleary, husband of Linda Cleary which occurred at his residence on Wednesday, August 26th , 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was born on October 21st, 1959 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to the late Catherine (Gray) and Robert John Cleary.

Bob was a truly devoted and loving husband, father and friend. Bob worked from a very young age and more recently, up until his health led to early retirement, worked as a Truck Driver with Maritime Moving and Storage. He enjoyed making things out of plastic canvas and collecting model cars, trucks and collectibles. Bob was a very old fashioned man, he was always the one to say what was on his mind. Bob enjoyed listening to Stompin’ Tom Connors, especially the Hockey Song. Whenever he had the chance you would always find him cleaning his truck.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Linda and cherished daughter  Lisa (Shawn) both of Saint John, NB.  He is also survived by his brothers;  John and Charles “Junior” Gray and sisters; Millie Edmonds (Dennis), Debbie Naugle (Paul) and Catherine Pineo (Brian) all of Nova Scotia.

He will be forever missed by his grandchildren; Tyler, Kayden, Gracie, Mackenzie, Reilly, Chloe and Baby Bobby.

Along with his parents, Bob is predeceased by parents-in-law Russell “Rusty” and Barb Negus. He is also recently predeceased by his loving son Robert “Little Bobby” Cleary who passed away on July 10th, 2015.

Bob’s funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday August 31st, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial donations in memory of Bob may be placed towards the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Bobby’s Hospice or the donor’s choice.
