Raymond John AucoinMay 27, 1956 ~ July 16, 2017 (age 61)
It is with great sadness the family of Raymond John “Butch” Aucoin, loving husband of Sheila Aucoin announces his passing which occurred on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Born in Stephenville, NL on May 27, 1956 he is the son of Melvin Aucoin and the late Maureen (Gaudet) Aucoin. In addition to his mother he was predeceased by his sister Sheila Aucoin and brother-in-law Neil Miller.
Raymond worked as a Welder for Local 213 at the Saint John Ship Yard for 30 years, he most recently worked for Northrup. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, playing the mandolin spending time at the trailer at Pine Cone for the past 30 years. He was a devoted and dedicated family man.
In addition to his loving wife of 39 years, Sheila, he is survived by his son Melvin Aucoin (Katie) of Saint John; brother Sam Aucoin (Pam) of Saint John; sisters Esther Rouzes (Tommy) of Willow Grove, Phyllis Miller of Halifax and Elaine Aucoin of Willow Grove; special niece and nephew Tanch and Brandon; several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday, July 19 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 20 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Raymond may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, H.O.P.E Centre or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
