Norma J. Rosvall

It is with deep sadness the family of Norma Janet Rosvall, loving wife of the late David Rosvall, announce her peaceful passing which occurred on November 30th, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

She was born on June 10, 1935 in Saint John, daughter of the late Earle and Margaret Boyce.

Norma will be forever missed by her son Bruce Rosvall of Rothesay, daughter Nancy Wilson (Tim) of Quispamsis, grandsons Brandon (Monica), Bryan and Bradley Rosvall and Micah Wilson, brother Earle Boyce of Moncton, sisters Lorraine Marr of Hampton and Doris Foster of Saint John. In addition to her husband, Norma was predeceased by son Steven and sister Doreen.

Norma graduated from the Saint John School of Nursing in 1957. She began her career in California, returned to Saint John where she worked at the General Hospital and then 4BN at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Norma was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. She loved her church family and through the years was involved in many activities. Most recently, she loved attending the Wednesday morning Widow’s Bible Study.

Her retirement years were happily spent with her four grandsons. Oh how her face would light up whenever she saw them. Norma had a sweet, gentle spirit and dedicated her life to serving others. She was a wonderful example of God’s love.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of 4BN, 3CS and Palliative Care at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their compassion and care.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, December 5th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, December 6th at 11 a.m.  A private family interment will follow at Fernhill Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Norma may be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
