Norma Marie (Abbott) Halliday

It is with great sadness that the family of Norma Marie (Abbott) Halliday announces her passing which occurred peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice, Thursday, November 2nd 2017. Born in Saint John, NB August 13, 1929, she was predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Mae (Cunningham) Abbott, her husband Carroll Halliday and her brothers and sister; Art, John and Joan Rinehart. 

Norma was a kind and loving person who loved to laugh, talk and spend time with her family and friends. She spent her working career with NBTel having held various positions until her retirement.

Norma was a devoted mother to her sons; John V. ‘Jack’ (Alla) of Calgary, AB and David Halliday (Lori Hamilton) of Fredericton, NB, sisters; Shirley Milam of Louisiana and Nancy Brooks of Apohaqui, NB.She will be deeply missed by her special friend, Bob Robichaud and niece Darlene Bonner, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

To the staff and volunteers of Bobby’s Hospice – we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you all for the wonderful compassion and care shown towards Norma and our family.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Norma’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Norma can be made towards Bobby’s Hospice.
