Noel J. Toner

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Noel Jerome Toner which occurred at the Sussex Health Center on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017.  Born 1950, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Alfred B. and Phyllis (Cameron) Toner.  Noel worked for the City of Saint John Works Department for many years.  He was a former member of the Lions Club and loved history, documentaries, Mustang cars, and heavy equipment vehicles. Noel enjoyed spending his time at the Dolan Road Irving Restaurant.   

Noel is survived by his sisters D. Starr Toner of Baxter’s Corner, Elizabeth Michaud (Alyre) of Saint John; brother Joseph D. Toner (Jackie) of Pearsonville, NB; special aunt Beryl Rutherford of Mispec; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Monday, March 27th at 1 p.m.  The family will receive visitors from 12 till 1 p.m.  Interment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Noel may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, SPCA-Animal Rescue, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
