I was so sorry to read of Mary's passing. We started grade one together. I remember when Father Stack would come into the class room he would always say "there's Mary McMurray with the wheat blown hair".---In grade six she came to my house after school on the eve of our school closing (in June) and decided to play hairdresser. I got mom's sheers and proceeded to cut off a lot of that lovely wheat coloured hair. We thought we did a great job of it until my mom walked in,---you could see the colour drain out of her face. I was so afraid of getting a call from Mrs. McMurray. lol Never did though. I spoke to Mary a few years ago and we had a great laugh over that memory. She was a great gal. My sincerest condolences to all of her family.
