Marie Whittaker 1926-2016

The family of Marie Whitaker announce her sudden death on the evening of October 21, 2016 at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home where she had just recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

Marie was the daughter of Nellie and Stanley Rackley. There are no siblings remaining.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, and her daughter Barbara. Remaining family includes her son Ronald (Carol Oliver- deceased) of Grand Bay-Westfield; Donna Goss (David), of Saint John West and Gordon and Joan (Cox) of Acamac. Several grandchildren are scattered through North America.

Arrangements are with the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road where on Tuesday, October 25 at 12 noon there will be visiting and viewing and the celebration of Marie’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.

The family expresses thanks to Sea Manor, and Carleton Kirk Nursing Home, and especially Dr. Ian Grant for their care for Marie over the past two years.
