Welcome to the memorial page for

Margaret Anne (MacDougall) Thompson

June 6, 1958 ~ March 1, 2017 (age 58) 58 Years Old

It is with profound sadness after a courageous six year battle with cancer that the family of Margaret Anne Thompson announces her peaceful passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 1, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Born June 6, 1958 to the late Michael & Rita MacDougall in Nova Scotia, Margaret was caring, thoughtful and generous, and she was loved by everyone who was fortunate to know her. Margaret enjoyed her many trips to Cuba with family and close friends and her evenings meeting her many friends at Tim Hortons. Margaret attended St Joachim’s Parish and was a former Sunday school teacher. Margaret was employed at FCNB and made many wonderful friends there over the years.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Kevin Thompson, daughters Sabrina Thompson, Melissa Thompson, son Justin Thompson and granddaughter Charlotte Lindo; brothers Leo Mac Dougall (Edie), Ernie MacDougall, Dan MacDougal (Cindy), Frank MacDougall (Lana); sisters Patsy Doiron (Simon), Mary Talbot, Michelle MacNeil (Michael Dan), Charlene MacNeil (Dan Joseph), Catherine Stewart (Len), Louise Whalen (Dave) as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by brother Earnest Anthony MacDougall, sister Theresa Shompe (Dan) and brother-in-law Mike Talbot.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Simon, Dr. Carman Giacomantonio, Dr. Joanne Attard, Dr. Brian Johnson and all the nurses who were instrumental in prolonging Margaret's life so we could have more time with this wonderful woman. Thank you to the staff of FCNB for the tremendous support and love shown to the family. Thank you to our many friends for everything they did to help during this difficult time, and a huge thank you to our very special friends Mrs. Norma Jean Wilson and Linda Rickard whose care and compassion is second to none.
