Linda Gayle (Damon) Cook

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Gayle (Damon) Cook announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 14, 2017.  She was born in Saint John on September 15, 1946 to the late Ronald and Mildred (Moore) Damon and was the loving wife of 50 years to husband David Cook.

Linda was a deeply devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Nobody loved their girls more than her.  She was a prankster and loved to agitate those around her; but it was all just because she enjoyed a good time.  She believed in the truth and felt that everyone should always tell the truth, regardless.  She was a very family oriented person and loved her grandchildren deeply and was much adored in return.  Linda was a faithful individual and was very active in her church for quite a few years.  She worked as the secretary at St. Mary’s and St. Bartholomew’s Church and loved her time there, until she retired to be an active part of her grandchildren’s lives.  Taken far too soon, Linda will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. 

She is survived by loving husband David, her two daughters; Candace Cook and Lisa (Peter) Fudge, her two granddaughters; Rebecca, Callie, great granddaughter Marissa, sister Joyce Somerville and brother Larry (Chris) Damon as well as her aunt Lorraine, uncles Doug and Kenny and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  In keeping with Linda’s wishes, no services will be held.  For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, The Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
