Linda Margaret Ann Armstrong

With heavy hearts, the family of Linda Margaret Ann Armstrong announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Harvey Station, NB, on December 14, 1960, she is the daughter of James Cleghorn and Emily (Cliff) Smith and loving wife of 30 years to Lane Armstrong.  Linda graduated from the Saint John School of Nursing in 1984 and worked at the Regional Hospital in Neuro Intensive Care until her retirement in the mid 90’s.  She had a passion for basketball and was a huge NCAA fan, never missing any of the Duke Blue Devil’s games.  Linda was a savvy shopper and could always find a bargain.  She also loved to quilt and absolutely adored spending time with family and friends.  She will be missed by so many. 

In addition to her beloved husband Lane, Linda is survived by her son Eric Turner (Tammie) of Willow Grove; sisters Debbie Cleghorn (Fred Lapensee) of Ottawa, Cindy Cleghorn and Karen Davidson (Kirk) both of Hoyt, her mother and father in-law Beulah and Eddie Armstrong; brother-in-law Shane Armstrong (Darlene); sister-in-law Heather Gosson, as well as, several extended family and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  A memorial service will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 4 pm.  

Donations in Linda’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
