Leona H. (Dunphy) Laird

Surrounded by her family and the presence of the Lord, Leona H. Laird, loving wife of David Laird, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1950 in Saint John she was the daughter of Frank Dunphy and granddaughter of Beatrice Dunphy.

In addition to her loving husband of 23 years, David, she is survived by her sons Rob Davidson (Tammy), Darren Davidson (Peggy) and Jason Davidson; brother Brian Dunphy; and many friends.

Leona loved the Lord and attended Victory Assembly, she loved nature, gardening and just the beauty of creation.  

Special thanks to all of the special friends that helped Leona through this journey. May the good Lord bless you all.

By Leona’s request, there will be no visitations. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery, followed by a reception at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Leona may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
