Lenora K. Garnett

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lenora K. Garnett which occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 4th, 2017.  Born 1948, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Margaret (Bowes) Goguen.  Lenora worked for Hoffman’s Clothing Store for over 40 years.  She was also the Superintendent of Mitchell Apartments.  Lenora loved to travel.  She enjoyed bowling and participated in the Women’s Provincials.  Lenora was kind hearted, thoughtful and caring.  She always put others first before herself.  Lenora’s greatest pride and joy was her grandson Jacob.  

Lenora is survived by her loving and devoted husband Murray of 44 years; sons Keith Garnett (Heather) of Saint John, Kevin Garnett (Kathleen) of Saint John; daughter Tara Gallant (Jeremy) of Saint John; brother Francis “Chuck” Goguen (Nancy) of Calabasas, California; sister Linda Caissie of Saint John; cherished grandson Jacob; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Lenora was predeceased by her brother Robert Goguen (Joan).

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, May 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, May 9th at 11 a.m.  Interment will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Lenora may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
