Kevin Leslie Robertson

Kevin Leslie Robertson, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016 in Saint John, NB.

Kevin was born in Halifax July 9, 1947, the son of the late Leslie Robert Robertson and Frances Gloria (Fowler) Robertson. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Bonita Lynn Hester, his sister, Karen (Candy) Learmouth and her husband Jim, his brother, Randall, two step-children, Katherina and Michael Gauvin, three nephews, one niece, several great-nephews and nieces, and nine grandchildren.

Kevin had retired with his wife in 2012 to his home in Evandale, NB where he enjoyed life in the country. He had been employed by the Federal and Nunavut governments in a variety of positions for 30 years. Kevin loved to travel, living for one year each in Costa Rica and South Korea, and one of his favorite pastimes was writing about his adventures.

Kevin loved to sing and play his guitar and keyboard. He also loved children and never lost his sense of play. He was also a Rotarian for a number of years. He participated in various sports and always kept himself fit.

There will be no formal funeral as Kevin donated his remains to medical science; however, at a later date, friends and family will be invited to a celebration of his life.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Terry Fox Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Many thanks to the angels in the CAM Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital who made his last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
