Joy Peacock

It is with heavy hearts the family of Margaret Joy Peacock announces her passing on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1932 in Sussex, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Hawkes) Smith.  In her earlier years Joy was employed with the Sugar Refinery. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was devoted to sharing her faith with others since her baptism in 1951.

She is survived by her son Walter “Wally” Peacock of Quispamsis; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Walter Peacock and brothers Joffre, Vincent, Maxwell, Fred and Austin Smith.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  By request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 14 Elliott Road, Quispamsis on Wednesday December 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada.

(Isa 43:10,13) She has the hope of living forever in Gods new system on a paradise earth and be with her loved ones again, (John 5:28,29) as Jesus resurrected people when he was on the earth.
