Joseph Edgar Allen Breau

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Edgar Allen Breau (Chickey), which occurred peacefully on May 30, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family.  Born on July 2, 1953 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Elmer and Blanche (Pitre) Breau. 

Prior to his illness, Allen enjoyed his work for Northrup Properties and Greys Garage.  In addition to his wife Linda (Goddard), he is survived by his sons; Joey (Angela) of Bedford, Colin of Halifax and Nathan of Grand Bay-Westfield, siblings; Gerald (Charles) of Cambridge Narrows, Dale (Gary) of Cambridge Narrows, Sheila (Bruce) of Saint John and Paul of Saint John.  A special mention to his good friends Karen and Wayne and nurse Ralph Johnson who went above and beyond to help Allen throughout his illness.  Also to the wonderful staff and volunteers at Bobby’s for their compassionate care.  Besides his parents, Allen was predeceased by his brother Fred of Halifax.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.   A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11am from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.  Remembrances can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
