Jonathan Edmund Thibodeau

It is with extreme sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Jonathan Thibodeau which occurred on Thursday, July 13, 2017.

Born on June 15, 1964 in Saint John, NB he is the son of Diane (Hayward) Thibodeau and the late Edmund J. Thibodeau. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his siblings Raymond and Lynn, sister-in-law Katherine McCann and Randall Gallagher who was like a son to him. 

Jonathan worked for Centre for Youth Care Inc. for 31 years. He was a very loyal fan of the Patriots, and enjoyed watching tennis, curling, The View, and Madea Movies. In his youth he enjoyed playing Volleyball. He will always be remembered for his sweet, kind, funny and amazing personality. He always put others before himself. Although Jonathan never had children, all the children he cared for, through the Youth Centre, where like his own.

In addition to his mother Diane, he is survived by his brother Wayne Thibodeau (Terri Arseneault), sisters Nicole Fair (Donald) and Amy Thorne (Brad Parks); cherished niece and nephews Grace, Roman, Sean and Avery, whom he adored; he was a proud godfather of several including Eric McGraw, Shaqueta Foley and Jordan Thibault; special friend Darenda Smith, Wendy Horsler; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday, July 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. His funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 19 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m.  Remembrances in memory of Jonathan may be made to PRO Kids or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
