Joan Vautour

Peacefully at the Loch Lomond Village, Joan Vautour (Earle), devoted wife of the late Gilbert Vautour, in her 85th year was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, July 28th 2016. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Kyle) and Raymond Earle.

Joan lived her life as a very caring, loving, generous and giving person. She was devoted to her family, friends and also lending a hand to those in need. She spent her working career as a sales clerk at MRA’s. She and her husband Gilbert would enjoy the summer months being outdoors and camping at their trailer in St. Andrews.  Being extremely devoted to her faith, Joan was also a member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  She loved to knit, bake and cook for family and friends.

Joan is survived by her 4 sons; Mark (Theresa), Stephen (Wendy), Christopher (Deborah) and Gilbert (Lisa). sister, Doreen (Ronald) Graham, sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty”  and 7 loving grandchildren; Tiffany (Jeremy), Jerrad, Ashley (Josh), Michael (Molly), Mary (Cameron), Jacob and Sydney.

She will be especially remembered by her two great grandchildren; McKenzie and Jaxon.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to Gilbert and her parents, Joan is predeceased by her brother Raymond Earle (Theresa) and sister Verna (John) O’Brien.

Joan will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Although there will be no formal visitation, family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial being held on Saturday, July 30th 2016 at 10 AM from St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

If desired, memorial donations can be placed towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society.
