James P. Slattery

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of James Percy Slattery which occurred at his home on Monday, October 17th, 2016.  Born on July 23, 1940, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sara “Sadie” (Gillis) Slattery.  Jim worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia for many years before retiring as Bank Manager in Petitcodiac.  He also worked for Legacy Associates as a Financial Advisor.  Jim enjoyed curling, golfing, and cribbage.  He loved camping at Three Bears Campground in Penobquis. 

Jim is survived by his wife Barbara Ann (O’Brien) Slattery of Petitcodiac; sons Neil Patrick Slattery (John) of Ottawa, ON, Jason Andrew Slattery (Erin) of Fredericton, NB; sister Marilyn Parsons (Frank) of Hampton, NB; brothers Stanley Slattery, Robert Slattery (Thelma) and Peter Slattery all of Saint John; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with a Sharing of Memories taking place from the Fundy Funeral Home reception area on Saturday, October 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m.   Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to Romero House or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
