Irene Mary Cripps

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Irene Mary Cripps, which occurred on Sunday March 1, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born 1934 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Alice (Martin) Gallant. Irene loved nature and the outdoors. She really enjoyed picking berries, swimming, fishing and gardening. She was a talented quilter and loved playing bingo. She is survived by her sons Allison (Donna), Stanley Jr. (Louise), and Douglas (Phyllis); daughters Linda (Harold) Hutchins, Sharon Cripps, Beverley Cripps, Rhoda (Bill) Hannah and Anna (Bob) Cripps; twin sister Doreen MacDonald and sister Helen Bonnell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son David Murray, former husband Stanley Cripps Sr., siblings Rose, Doris, Harold, Rita, George and Howard.

Following cremation visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Thursday March 5, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday March 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Bobby’s Hospice, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
