Howard Roy Frise

Howard Roy Frise passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March
30, 2005. Howard was born in Toronto, son of the late Charles Hamilton
Frise and Emily Madeline Day. He is survived by his wife Patricia; one
daughter DeBorah Barnes of Grand Bay-Westfield; one son Stephen of Fort
McMurray, AL; one grandson Andrew Barnes of Grand Bay-Westfield and several
nieces and nephews in Ontario. He was predeceased by four brothers and
three sisters.
Howard was employed by Christie Brown (Nabisco) and came to Saint John in
1965 as Branch Manager. A Member of the Power Boat Club, he spent many
years cruising the St. John River and its tributaries. He golfed and curled
and was a member of the Riverside Country Club. Howard was a member of
Saint David's United Church in Rothesay. He was proud of his work with the
Masonic Lodge, Albion Lodge # 1, Scottish Rites, 32nd Degree. Howard was an
avid walker and was a familiar figure in the Rothesay area. During the
Second World War, he served for a time with a Special Intelligence Force of
the RCMP in Halifax.
