Hongbin Ye

After a tragic Motor vehicle accident, Hongbin Ye, loving partner of Yiling Chu and precious son of Kehui Wang and Zhiping Ye, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18, 2015.

Hongbin was born in Shanghai on Jun 22, 1989. He came to Saint John in Sept, 2011 to study at UNBSJ. He was an amazing person who always gave a hand to anybody in need. He volunteered at many community events including the Saint John Dragon Boat Festivals, Canada Day, and Chinese New Year celebrations. He was also recently elected as a board director of the Chinese Cultural Association of Saint John.

Yiling and friends will receive visitors to pay their respects Friday from 6-8 pm at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  A Celebration of Hongbin's Life, led by Rev. Rob Nylen, will take place Saturday, May 23, 2015 from the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm followed by a time of fellowship and light refreshment.

Following cremation, Hongbin's remains will return to China to be reunited with his family.  A fundraisng event is planned for the near future to assist the family with travel arrangements and this web-site will be updated as details become available.
