Helen Brigley

The family of Helen Brigley announces her peaceful passing that occurred on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at Turnbull Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born 1918 in Canso, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel and Sadie (Munroe) Snow. Helen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son Eldon (Beth) Brigley of Quispamsis; daughters Lorna (Leslie) Thorne of Quispamsis, Gloria (Joseph) Merrick of Hampton and Trudy (Bill) Urquhart of Kars; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Ralph Sr., she was predeceased by her sons Ralph Jr. and Howard Ross, brothers Howard, Malcolm and Lester Snow; sisters Dorothy Bent, Jenn Guthrie, Hilda Bennett and Edna Snow; 2 grandchildren Stacy and Andrew Merrick.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service held at Fernhill Cemetery on Monday October 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. with the funeral procession departing the funeral home at 10:55 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Turnbull Nursing Home or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation For those who wish, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
