Hazel Delora Tidd

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Hazel Tidd, wife of the late Sherwood Tidd, announce her peaceful passing with her family at her side, on March 26, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John, NB. Hazel was born in Black's Harbour on October 6th, 1932, a daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Leavitt) Wilcox.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda (Carl) Rushton of Carlisle, SK; Eloise (Terry) Durling of Woodstock; and Nancy Morris of Saint John; a brother, Carroll (Neata) Wilcox of Truro, NS; sisters Mary (Bev) Doucette and Marie Wilcox, both of Saint John; and Alice (Murray) Thorne of Fredericton; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was pre-deceased by her daughter Deborah Rideout, brother Leo Wilcox, and sisters Ida McCoy and Lelia Wilcox.
The most important thing to Hazel was her family, and she truly fulfilled the definition of a Mother – someone who will love you unconditionally, till her last breath.  Her love and faith in God overflowed to all those she came in contact with. 

Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Her Life, which will be held at the Belleville Baptist Church at Belleville, NB Sunday, March 29th at 3:00 PM.  Hazel requested in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or the Gideon Bible Society.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424).

Drive towards Houlton on highway 95.
