Gary W. McLellan

It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Gary McLellan, who passed away at Bobby’s Hospice on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 with his loving family at his side. Born in Saint John on September 3rd, 1944, he was the son of the late David and Josephine (Lewis) McLellan. Gary worked for the Canadian National Railway for over 37 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, listening to Elvis, playing poker, time spent at the camp, driving his convertible and trips to Florida. Gary was devoted to his family and his wife of 46 years Mary Ann. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved to joke and play around with them on a daily basis. He was the kind of guy who stood out in a crowd; one of kind. Gary will be missed by his loving wife Mary Ann (Arsenault) McLellan; son Gary David McLellan; two daughters Tammy Josey Kingston (Troy) and Selena Presley McLellan; 5 precious grandchildren who knew him as “Puppy” and “Pup”; Michelle, Brandon, Corey, Joshua and Dylan; brothers Bobby (Patsy), Phil (Heather) and Allen (Jean); and  sister Judy Myers. Along with his parents, Gary was predeceased by brothers Davey and Brian.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, December 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 9th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Donations in Gary’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice
